Chapter Updates

Hi Everyone,

We had a great meeting last evening.  First we would like to announce Mary Ann Lukowich has accepted the position as PCNP Membership Representative.  We are so thrilled to have her in this role.  There were three agenda items approved, they were:

-Awarding of three scholarships for the fall applicants as we had a three-way tie when we voted on the 13 applications.  This is very exciting to support our next group of NPs.

      -The awardees are: Amanda Esmond, Yan Golub and Jennifer Peterson.  

-Sponsoring of 10 students to attend the PCNP Student Symposium and awarding each of them a one-year complimentary membership

      -Our goal is to increase our membership and grow our group.

      -We will be email all local MSN students via program directors in the area.

-We will host a dinner on June 30th which will be a social event.  This will likely be in Meadville, more details to come.

We will be revising some of our by-laws.  We will include the PCNP Membership Representative on the executive board.  Second, we would like to modify how we bring on new officers by eliminating the need to complete nominations and voting.  We have only ever had one contested position and in light of this we would like to change to more of an "if you want to volunteer for an office it is yours".  Look for revised by-laws in April that we will vote on in May.
